Twitter has hired Adam Messinger as vice president of infrastructure engineering. Messinger was previously Vice President Development at Oracle. Prior to his appointment at Oracle nearly four years ago, Messinger was a venture partner at SmartForest Ventures and a venture consultant at O’Reilly Alpha Tech Ventures. Messinger, who studied physics and computer science at Willamette University and Stanford, also founded a company, Gauntlet Systems Corp., that sold to Borland after just nine months.
