First Round Capital Parodies “Friday” For Holiday Cheer
First Round Capital gets my vote for best holiday card this year.
This year, the VC parodied Rebecca Black’s “Friday” for their holiday message. We spied Turntable’s Billy Chasen in the video, as well as AppNexus’ Brian O’Kelley and TaskRabbit’s Eric Grosse.
“VCs in the front seat, VCs in the back, gotta make my mind up which one should I take?”
And then the chorus:
“First round we just raised our first round. Everyone’s looking forward to the journey.”
I don’t know what I liked more: First Round managing partners Josh Kopelman and Howard Morgan “kickin in the front seat,” or Winston, the ModCloth pug, who raised his paws at the end of the video. (Of course, a shout out to Kobe Busque, TaskRabbit’s chief inspiration officer).
