Marc van den Berg, a managing director at VantagePoint Capital Partners, has left the firm for Technology Partners.

Van den Berg’s LinkedIn page says the switch was made this month, however his profile remains on the VantagePoint Web site. He did not return an e-mail seeking comment.

Van den Berg joined VantagePoint in 2006 from Venrock and participated in the firm’s cleantech investing. He is a board member at Switch Lighting and Bridgelux, according to his LinkedIn profile. He also has a professional background in the semiconductor capital equipment industry, with stints at ATMI and Microbar.

In joining Technology Partners as a partner, van den Berg has signed with a smaller firm also with a presence in cleantech. The firm has invested in Abound Solar, Tesla Motors, Deeya Energy and Imperium Renewables, among other startups.

peHUB left a phone message Wednesday morning at van den Berg’s Technology Partners’ office.
