Frank was a senior MD at JLL Partners and left the firm several months ago, a firm official says. Frank is starting his own buyout shop that will invest in healthcare, according to Bloomberg News.
New York-based JLL, a middle market PE firm, targets a variety of industries with a focus on financial services, education, building products, and healthcare. Frank joined JLL in 1999 and was mainly focused on healthcare investing. Last year, he was involved in JLL’s sale of PharmaNet Development Group, a contract research organization, to Thomas H. Lee Partners.
Frank’s departure was reported by Home Channel News in March. At that time, Builders FirstSource mentioned Frank’s departure from JLL in an SEC filing. Frank, in connection with his JLL resignation, left the BFS board, the company said. Frank also resigned from PGT’s board in April and, in February, he stepped down as Patheon’s chairman of the board and director.
