David Novak has been named president of private equity-backed Chemical Information Services. Dallas-based private equity shop glendonTodd Capital announced the new post for Novak. John Harris, former chief executive of Chemical Information Services, stepped down in October to return to his role as an Operating Partner at glendonTodd. Novak joined CIS in 2011 as vice president of marketing and strategy.
glendonTodd Capital LLC (“glendonTodd”), a Dallas-based private equity firm, today announced that David Novak has assumed the role of President at Chemical Information Services (“CIS” or the “Company”) effective November 1, 2012.
John Harris stepped down as CEO of CIS on October 31, 2012 to return to his role as an Operating Partner at glendonTodd. David Novak will report to Todd Furniss, Chairman of the Board, CIS and CEO and Managing Partner, glendonTodd.

Mr. Novak joined CIS in 2011 as vice president of marketing and strategy. Prior to joining CIS, Mr. Novak helped build the financial planning and analysis function at Cash America, where he served as the manager of corporate finance. In that role, Mr. Novak was involved with capital raising, mergers and acquisitions support, financial analysis and corporate budgeting. Prior to Cash America, Mr. Novak worked as an investment banker at Citigroup Global Markets, Inc., where he supported capital raising and mergers and acquisitions advisory services within the global energy industry. Mr. Novak received a BBA in Finance from Southern Methodist University.
