It was a grand old time in Boston Thursday evening, as more than 100 PE pros (and Hubsters) convened at McGreevey’s 3rd Base Saloon–home of the Dropkick Murphys–for some serious suds. Well, that wasn’t all–we also raised more than $1,500 for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Greater Boston Food Bank, in part thanks to our sponsor for the event, Rothstein Kass. Locals stuck with the area favorites–that being Sam Adams–or another brew basically (but not actually) native to Boston, Guinness. And we’ll be back this April, with a very impressive PartnerConnect 2013 lineup…

Not pictured: any members of the opposite gender. For the entire time these two wore the hats, in fact. We’re still not certain why nobody wanted to talk to us…

Mark Cecil, the Michael Corleone of the conference business. You wouldn’t *believe* who he got for our keynote in Boston next year!

HEY! Isn’t that our buddy Jarret Izzo?

I can only assume the fellow he’s talking to just disclosed a very impressive multiple on an exit.

Starting to look like a real party in here…

UPDATE: It is in fact a party up in here. And the Hub was probably better off for missing this particular shot session…

You’d think we’re talking business, but conference head honcho Jim Beecher and I are actually trying to navigate the Bermuda Triangle that is the back four weeks of the NFL season for his elimination pool pick. Knowing Jim, he’ll win–but given the teams he’s got left, he’ll need some Tums every Sunday ’til 2013.

Readers, you decide: is this a photobomb?

Smile, gang!

And that’s a wrap. See you in April!
