NEA Has Raised $2.08 Billion Toward a 14th Fund

New Enterprise Associates has raised $2.08 billion toward a 14th fund, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The new fund, New Enterprise Associates 14, should rank among the firm’s largest. It seeks another $487 million toward a final target of $2.56 billion, according to the filing.

NEA’s previous 2009 fund, New Enterprise Associates 13, came in at $2.48 billion and its 2006 New Enterprise Associates 12 topped $2.52 billion, according to data from Thomson Reuters, publisher of this blog.

New Enterprise Associates 10 from 2000 was $2.3 billion in size.

The new fund lists 12 partners, including James Barrett, Peter Barris, Forest Baskett, Ryan Drant, Anthony Florence, Patrick Kerins, Krishna Kolluri, David Mott, Scott Sandell, Peter Sonsini, Ravi Viswanathan and Harry Weller.

This outlet reported back in February that NEA was seeking up to $2.5 billion for its newest fund.
