Cook Jumps to RBC Capital from Barracuda Networks

Kevin Cook has left Barracuda Networks and joined RBC Capital Management, an email from an RBC spokeswoman says.

Cook will be an MD in RBC’s U.S. technology global investment banking group, the message says. He will focus on the software sector and will be based in San Francisco. Cook will report to Blair Fleming, head of the RBC capital markets’ U.S. investment banking division, according to the email.

Most recently, Cook was employed by Barracuda Networks, the RBC message says. Cook was apparently VP of corporate development at Barracuda. Campbell, Calif.-based Barracuda, a provider of security appliances, has received investments from Sequoia Capital and Francisco Partners.

Prior to this, Cook was co-head of the software, systems & services group at Wachovia Securities and global co-head of the internet & digital media group at Credit Suisse First Boston, the message says.

Officials for Barracuda couldn’t be reached for comment.
