Jobs of the Week: Carlyle, Goldman Sachs and Venture Firms Scouting for Talent

This week there are varied job openings from big boys The Carlyle Group and Goldman Sachs and also a couple of venture-related positions.

The Carlyle Group is looking for a communications and branding analyst to join its external affairs department. For further information about the position click here. The role will be based in the Washington D.C. Metro Area.

Goldman Sachs is hiring within its leveraged finance restructuring group for an analyst based in New York. According to the job description, analysts in Goldman Sachs’ restructuring group gain “exposure to the firm’s businesses, gain knowledge of the investment banking industry and develop a deep understanding of restructuring, bankruptcy and leveraged finance.”

The investment bank is also recruiting for a vice president based in San Francisco to join its technology, media and telecommunications investment banking group. For further information click on the link.

On the venture side, AMD Ventures is looking for a senior associate/principal based in Sunnyvale, California. The successful applicant will be responsible for all aspects of deal execution and portfolio management.

OpenView Venture Partners is hiring for a more junior position of pre-MBA associate based in Boston. According to the job description on LinkedIn, the position is a two- to three-year position and upon completion of the program, it is expected that the associate will transition to graduate school. The associate may be asked to continue at the firm as a senior associate, but, states the advertisement, this should not be the expectation from the onset.

Finally, Tulane Investment Office may be looking to fill a director position in the next month or so. Current director Cari Lodge is leaving to join Commonfund. Lodge joined the investment management office in July 2012. Prior to joining the investment team, she was a director at Credit Suisse Strategic Partners, Credit Suisse’s dedicated secondary private equity fund.
