DataXu has appointed Dan Demmer to its board of directors. Demmer will become an independent director and chair of DataXu’s audit committee. He is an operating partner at OpenView Venture Partners. Headquartered in Boston, DataXu is a real-time media management platform for digital advertising campaigns. Its backers include Menlo Ventures, Atlas Venture, Flybridge Capital Partners and Thomvest Ventures.

Demmer brings to DataXu more than 25 years of leadership experience in business management and corporate finance in high growth technology companies where he will assume the role of independent director and chair of DataXu’s Audit Committee.
A recognized leader in technology and high growth enterprises, Demmer has deep expertise in leading companies to rapid revenue growth, profitability and IPO preparation.

Demmer also is an operating partner at OpenView Venture Partners, a Boston-based software venture capital fund.
Demmer holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Maryland and resides in the Boston area with his family.
