ScriptRock Inc., the leading cloud-based configuration management platform for DevOps, today announced the appointment of Steve Hall as chief marketing officer. Hall will report to Mike Baukes, co-founder and co-CEO.
Hall has over 18 years of experience in technology marketing and will lead ScriptRock’s strategic market positioning, as well as brand development and demand generation.
“Steve brings extraordinary business expertise and marketing leadership to ScriptRock,” said Baukes. “His success in accelerating growth and building brands as well as his deep domain experience in systems management, governance, security and compliance are a perfect fit for our business objectives. Steve’s keen marketing insight and industry knowledge will help expand the ScriptRock brand, stimulate demand for our platform and accelerate revenue growth. We are delighted to welcome his inspiration and leadership.”
Hall has extensive experience in driving growth in burgeoning technology businesses through effective marketing strategy and execution. Prior to join ScriptRock, Hall was senior director of product marketing for Tripwire, a security and configuration management solution provider, where he had a strong track record of building and executing marketing strategies that drove strong business growth. Earlier roles included senior marketing positions at ProSight, an IT governance and portfolio management solutions provider (acquired by Primavera), and senior positions at marketing agencies Imark and Opus. Hall has a degree in business administration from the University of Puget Sound in Seattle, WA.
“Steve’s comprehensive knowledge of configuration management will be instrumental in expanding market adoption of Guardrail,” commented Baukes. “We’re confident Steve will be able to capitalize on the market success we’ve already had with companies like ADP, E*TRADE and RedBull. We believe Steve’s expertise will make an immediate impact for our on-demand configuration management platform that enables companies to bring ideas to market faster and safer.”
ScriptRock helps enterprises rapidly deliver software without being burdened by configuration management, across internal or externally managed services. Our flagship product, GuardRail, simplifies configuration management so that they can focus on shipping features, not fixing configurations. Guardrail is the first and only on-demand, cloud-based configuration management platform that activates DevOps by helping IT enterprises get end-to-end visibility and control of their dynamic datacenter. The company is backed by Silicon Valley entrepreneur and technology investor Peter Thiel with Valar Ventures, 500 Ventures, Starfish Ventures and Square Peg.
