Aequitas Capital announces new hire

Portland, Oregon-based alternative investment firm Aequitas Capital has named Keith E. Gregg as president of Aequitas Capital Partners, the firm’s new investment and advisor operating unit. Previously, Gregg worked at Innovation Equity Partners where he served as founder and CEO.

PORTLAND, Ore. – (April 28, 2014) – Aequitas Capital, a Portland, Ore.-based alternative investment management company, has appointed long-time wealth management executive Keith E. Gregg to lead Aequitas Capital Partners, a new business division designed to provide growth oriented Registered Investment Advisors with access to financial and intellectual capital, as well as essential operating services to power growth.

Highly respected throughout the financial services industry as a business acceleration specialist, Mr. Gregg will serve as President of Aequitas Capital Partners, Aequitas Capital’s new asset-backed investment and advisor operating division. Aequitas Capital Partners will focus on serving practitioners in the wealth management industry who have demonstrated the will and capacity for growth and an appreciation for alternative investments as an important part of investor portfolios.

Mr. Gregg brings to Aequitas Capital three decades of experience as a financial industry entrepreneur and executive. Prior to his appointment as President of Aequitas Capital Partners, he was founder and CEO of Innovation Equity Partners, LLC, a financial services and technology company serving Registered Investment Advisors and Independent Broker Dealers. His previous experience includes serving as President of a billionaire’s family office, Chairman of industry association Wealth Advisor Institute, and President and CEO of one of the nation’s largest Independent Broker Dealers. In addition, he has worked with blue chip firms GE Capital, Prudential Investments, and Wachovia Securities Financial Network (nka Wells Fargo Advisors).

Mr. Gregg is a graduate of the Securities Industry Institute®, University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business Executive Leadership Program, and the author of “Do Well by Doing Good: The Complete Guide to Charitable Remainder Trusts.” Mr. Gregg honorably served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps where he received the Distinguished Presidential Service Award from President Ronald Reagan while serving aboard Marine One.
