PRESS RELEASE

SEATTLE, WA JUNE 12, 2014. HashPlex is proud to announce today that it closed a $400,000 seed round lead by Barry Silbert of Bitcoin Opportunity Corp and SecondMarket, and Jason Prado, co-founder of Plannr, ex-Googler, now senior engineer at Facebook. HashPlex is very excited to have Barry’s backing and guidance going forward. Barry is a veteran in the bitcoin space, and his experience and network will be truly invaluable.
HashPlex will continue to use the money they’ve raised to build their hardware backend, software stack, and 1MW HashCenter in Central Washington. They are close to rolling out their cloud-based management software and releasing availability dates for their 1MW facility which is under construction. Their next, much larger rollout is being planned.
HashPlex is the world’s first hosting solution that is tailor-made for cryptocurrency mining. They cut out the unnecessary frills of the “five-nines,” 2N+1 datacenter but deliver all of the amenities of a cloud-service. They’re the cheapest cryptocurrency miner hosting solution on the market, and they will be providing automation and cloud management not found anywhere else.
Rihn, Schnurle, and Prado have quickly grown the company to 8 people since March and will continue to grow as rapidly as they can to meet customer demand.
