Voxer said Thursday that it has named Irv Remedios as its new president. Remedios is Voxer’s former head of product. Based in San Francisco, Voxer is a provider of push-to-talk and multimedia messaging. Its backers include Institutional Venture Partners, Intel Capital, SV Angel and CrunchFund.
SAN FRANCISCO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Voxer, a pioneer in push-to-talk (PTT) and multimedia messaging, today announced that Irv Remedios, former head of product at Voxer, will lead the company as its new president. Remedios will focus on the go-to-market strategy of the voice messaging service going forward, especially as it increases its market share in the enterprise communications industry.

Prior to joining Voxer, Remedios was vice president, product at Mr. Number, a mobile service that enables organizations to block unwanted calls and texts, and look up unknown numbers. Mr. Number was acquired by WhitePages. He was vice president, product and founding team member at Mozes, Inc., a mobile marketing platform that helps connect brands and marketers to consumers through mobile devices, and was acquired by HelloWorld. While at Adobe Systems, he launched the first successful online community for designers, called Kuler, which became a model for the company’s online services. Remedios holds a Master in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business at University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Waterloo.
