Video house call app Meedoc snags $1.5 mln seed

Meedoc, a real-time video app that connects patients with doctors, has received $1.5 million in seed funding. The investors included “key Finnish healthcare industry influencers from the fields of pharma, care providers, pharmacists, doctors and medical regulations.”

Meedoc lets you connect with a doctor of your choosing via real time video at your convenience either via on-call service or by appointment. For doctors, Meedoc provides a turnkey mobile clinic and a means to conduct easy follow-ups with their existing patients.

Meedoc raised $1,5M Seed round from key Finnish healthcare industry influencers from the fields of pharma, care providers, pharmacists, doctors and medical regulations.

Meedoc connects doctors both with consumers and businesses. Consumers pay 29€/call and Companies pay 10€/month per employee for unlimited use, including prescriptions directly to pharmacy if needed. Employer benefits have been recognized by one of first larger customers, KONE Elevators (KNEBV),through significant savings potential through reductions in leaves of absence and improved employee access to quality care.

MeeDoc has developed a proprietary CE-certified Medical Device telemedicine platform, enabling treatment across the European Union. The clinical research Meedoc places its foundation on has shown potential for being able to replace 74% of all healthcare center visits.
