Alteryx, a provider of data analytics, has raised $12 million in funding from Toba Capital and existing investor SAP Ventures. The company has now raised $18 million in total funding.

MicroVentures, a combined equity crowdfunding platform and broker-dealer in the US, has announced that accredited investors on its platform have invested $16 million in startups. MicroVentures employs a crowd-sourcing process that enables the power of the crowd to decide which startups will receive investments in an effort to provide a higher probability of successful outcomes.

Aspen Aerogels, Inc. said it raised $22.5 million in a convertible note financing and has decided not to pursue an initial public offering. The company said it will withdraw its S-1 registration statement.The new money will be used for working capital.

Jelly Industries, a startup from Twitter co-founder Biz Stone, has closed a Series A round led by Spark Capital. SV Angel also invested, according to an announcement on Jelly’s site. Other investors in the company include Jack Dorsey, Square’s co-founder and CEO; Bono; Reid Hoffman of Greylock Discovery Fund and Al Gore. Stone is co-founder and CEO of Jelly, which is based in San Francisco.

Scarosso raised a Series A funding round led by DN Capital. Scarosso said other investors include IBB Venture Capital Co. managed ‘Kreativwirtschaft Berlin’, Perikles Ventures and other local angel investors. Scarosso has previously attracted angel funding from Berlin Ventures, Martin Sinner and Michael Brehm. Berlin-based Scarosso is an online luxury shoe brand.
