VC-backed Aerohive names SVP of engineering

Aerohive Networks said Thursday that it has hired Stathis Papaefstathiou as senior vice president of engineering. Prior to joining Aerohive, Papaefstathiou worked at F5 Networks where he served as a vice president of product development. Based in Sunnyvale, Calif., Aerohive Networks is a provider of enterprise Wi-Fi solutions. Its backers include Northern Light Venture Capital, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Four Rivers Group, Institutional Venture Partners and New Enterprise Associates.

Aerohive Networks Adds SVP of Worldwide Sales and VP of Operations

Aerohive Networks, based in Sunnyvale, Calif., has hired two people on to its management team. Dean Hickman-Smith, formerly senior vice president of worldwide sales at Proofpoint, becomes Aerohive’s senior VP of worldwide sales Raphael Gernez, who was formerly a VP of global sourcing and purchasing at SunPower, meanwhile joins as VP of operations.

Aerohive is a cloud-based networking company that has raised $75 million over its six years in business, including from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Northern Light Venture Capital, and New Enterprise Associates.

Aerohive Networks Acquires Pareto Networks

Aerohive Networks acquired privately-held Pareto Networks, which is a in cloud-based networking company. Aerohive is a Sunnyvale, Calif.-based maker of a cooperative control wireless LAN architecture.It is backed by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Lightspeed Venture Partners and Northern Light Venture Capital.

Aerohive Networks Raises $23.5 Million

Aerohive Networks Inc., a Santa Clara, Calif.-based developer of “cooperative control” wireless LAN access points, has raised $23.5 million in Series C funding. Return backers included Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Northern Light Venture Capital and Lightspeed Venture Partners. Aerohive previously raised $24 million.

Aerohive Adds $20 Million
