Altos Ventures and iNovia Capital back Allocadia

Allocadia Software has raised $7 million in Series A financing. Altos Ventures and iNovia Capital led the round with participation from other investors that included Illuminate Ventures and Beehive Holdings. According to the firm, the capital infusion will be used for growth. In addition to the funding, Anthony Lee, a partner at Altos Ventures and Kevin Swan, a partner at iNovia Capital, have been added to Allocadia’s board. Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Allocadia is a provider of marketing performance management cloud solutions.

IBM to Buy DemandTec

The cloud deals are growing. IBM, the listed, New York-based technology company, will acquire Calif.-based DemandTec, the California-based cloud-based analytics software. The deal is worth $440 million. VCs that backed DemandTec prior to its 2007 IPO include Crosspoint Venture Partners, Cargill Ventures and Altos Ventures.

Kontagent Seals $12M Series B

San Francisco-based Kontagent, a maker of enterprise user analytics technology, has raised $12 million in Series B financing. Battery Ventures led the round. Maverick Capital and Altos Ventures also participated. Roger Lee, a general partner at Battery Ventures, will join Kontagent’s board.

Xignite Seals $10M Series B

Xignite Inc., a provider of a financial market data platform for the cloud, has raised $10 million in Series B funding. The San Mateo, Calif.-based company is backed by StarVest Partners, Altos Ventures, Startup Ventures and individual investors. The money will be used to bolster sales and marketing, and for product development.

SkyWi Sells VoIP Assets to Telekenex

SkyWi Inc. of Santa Fe, N.M., has agreed to sell all its VoIP operations to Telekenex Inc., a San Francisco-based provider of business-grade IP services. No financial terms were disclosed for the deal, which was prompted by a legal dispute between SkyWi and Quest. SkyWi has raised VC funding from Mesa Capital Partners, while Telekenex has raised funding from Altos Ventures and Walden Venture Capital.
