Sunil Dhaliwal Launches Amplify Partners

Early-stage investor Sunil Dhaliwal, formerly a general partner at Battery Ventures, ha launched venture capital fund that is focused exclusively on infrastructure technologies. His new Cambridge, Mass.-based firm, Amplify Partners, did not disclose how much money it has to invest but says it raised investment capital from a “blue-chip list of IT infrastructure executives, financial industry veterans and forward-thinking institutional investors” and that is initial investments will range in size from $50,000 to $1.5 million.

Datadog Secures Series A

Datadog has secured a $6.2 million series A round of funding, co-led by Index Ventures and RTP Ventures, an affiliate of ru-Net Holdings. Existing investors IA Ventures, Amplify Partners, Contour Ventures and NYCSeed also participated. Datadog is an IT service based in New York City.

Continuuity Raises $10m Series A

Continuuity has secured a $10 million Series A funding round. Battery Ventures and Ignition Partners led the round, and were joined by returning and new investors Andreessen Horowitz, Data Collective and Amplify Partners.
