Sequoia, USVP Back Clustrix With Series C

Clustrix, a San Francisco-based developer of clustered databases to help make them manageable and searchable, has raised a $16.5 million Series C round of funding from current investors Sequoia Capital, U.S. Venture Partners, ATA Ventures and individual investor Don Listwin, a former executive of Cisco. The company, which was founded in late 2005 and came out of Y Combinator, has raised now raised $46.5 million to date.

YottaMark Inc. said it raised $24 million in a Series D round led by Westbury Partners and joined by new investor Fairhaven Capital. Shocking Technologies Inc., a maker of polymer nano-composite for protecting electronic products from electrostatic discharge, has raised $15.2 million from publicly traded Littelfuse Inc., Arch Ventures, ATA Ventures, Balch Hill Capital, Skylake Incuvest, Vista Ventures and other undisclosed investors. Zoosk is looking to attract investors in a new round of financing for the fast-growing online dating website.The San Francisco-based company recently hired Deutsche Bank to help it raise $50 million to $75 million, according to two people familiar with the effort.
