Codenvy Raises $9 Million

Codenvy, a San Francisco-based cloud environment for coding, building, and testing apps, today announced it has closed $9 million in Series A led by Toba Capital with Auriga Partners and a number of angels participating.

TxCell SA said it raised $16 million in a third round of financing supported by the InnoBio fund, managed by CDC Entreprises, and existing shareholders Auriga Partners and Seventure Partners. InnoBio contributed about $7.8 million to the round.

Neolane Seals $27M

Battery Ventures led a $27 million financing round for conversational marketing technology developer Neolane. Existing investors Auriga Partners, XAnge and Gilles Queru also participated in the round. The money will go toward bolstering sales, marketing and product development efforts.

BonitaSoft Inks $11M

San Francisco-based BonitaSoft, a maker of open source business process management software, has raised $11 million in Series B financing. Serena Capital led the round, which included participation from existing backers Ventech and Auriga Partners. The money will be used for product development and international expansion.

Cellnovo Raises $48.4M Series B

London-based Cellnovo, which develops a mobile diabetes management system, has raised £30 million ($48.4 million) in a Series B financing round led by Paris-based Edmond de Rothschild Investment Partners. Forbion Capital Partners, Auriga Partners, NBGI Ventures and Credit Agricole Private Equity also participated, as did Series A investors Advent Venture Partners, HealthCare Ventures and NESTA.

Genocea Biosciences Inks $35M Series B

Vaccine developer Genocea Biosciences Inc. has raised $35 million in a second round of financing. New investors Johnson & Johnson Development Corporation, Skyline Ventures and MP Healthcare Venture Management contributed to the Series B round. Existing shareholders Polaris Venture Partners, Lux Capital Management, SR One, Cycad Group, Auriga Partners and Morningside Ventures also participated. The financing will help support clinical development of the company’s therapeutic vaccine for herpes simplex virus type 2 infections. Genocea is based in Cambridge, Mass.

SuperSonic Imagine Closes $44.7 Million Round

Medical imaging company SuperSonic Imagine has added 19 million euro ($25 million) to its Series C financing round, bringing the total raised in the round to 34 million euro ($44.7 million). Existing investors Edmond de Rothschild Investment Partners, Auriga Partners, Credit Agricole Private Equity, NBGI Ventures, BioAm, Wellington Partners and IXO Private Equity all contributed to the financing. The money will be used to expand the company’s ultrasound technology for use in liver, thyroid, abdominal, musculoskeletal, gynecological and prostate imaging. Five-year-old SuperSonic Imagine is based in Aix-en-Provence, France.
