VC-backed Syndax Pharmaceuticals files for IPO

Syndax Pharmaceuticals has filed for an IPO. The number of shares that will be offered as well as the stock’s pricing terms have yet to be set. Deutsche Bank Securities and Jefferies are serving as lead underwriters. Headquartered in Waltham, Mass., Syndax is a Syndax Pharmaceuticals is a developer of epigenetic therapies for treatment-resistant cancers. Its backers include Domain Associates, MPM Capital, Forward Ventures, Pappas Ventures and Avalon Ventures.

Indix Corporation attracts funds led by Avalon and Nexus

Indix Corporation has closed $8.5 million of a $9 million Series A-1 round of financing, co-led by Avalon Ventures and Nexus Venture Partners. Founded in 2010, Indix is a SaaS and big data product intelligence platform based in Seattle with a product development and engineering team in Chennai, India.

Ad Tech Startup Nanigans Raises $5.8 Million Led by Avalon Ventures

Nanigans, a Boston-based startup that makes advertising technology software to help advertisers maximize their social and mobile advertising, has raised $5.8 million led by Avalon Ventures. The company is describing the round as “Series A.1 funding,” having raised $3.1 million in 2011, including from Avalon.

Simulmedia Raises $5 Million from Union Square Ventures and Others

The New York-based media marketing firm Simulmedia has raised another $5 million in funding from Time Warner Investments, Avalon Ventures, and Union Square Ventures, according to an SEC Filing. The investors have collectively invested roughly $32 million in Simulmedia since its 2009 founding.

Kaltura Secures $25m New Funding

Kaltura, an open source video platform, has secured $25 million of funding from new investors Mitsui & Co. Global Investment, Inc. and ORIX Ventures. Existing investors Nexus Venture Partners, Intel Capital, .406 Ventures and Avalon Ventures also participated.
