Reuters – SilkRoad Selects Banks for IPO

Human resources software company SilkRoad has selected JPMorgan Chase & Co and Piper Jaffray Cos to lead an initial public offering later this year, writes Reuters. Founded by serial entrepreneur Flip Filipowski in 2003, the company’s investors include Azure Capital Partners, Tenaya Capital and Foundation Capital.

Cyan Optics Seals $10M – Filing

Petaluma, Calif.-based Cyan Optics Inc., a provider of metro and regional aggregation and transport of packet and optical services, has raised $10 million in fresh capital, according to a regulatory filing. Investors include Azure Capital Partners, Norwest Venture Partners and Tenaya Capital. According to the filing, the infusion was a Series F round. Formed in 2006, the company has reportedly raised upwards of $30 million in previous rounds.

ezREZ Acquires Topguest

Cooking.com Inks $13.5M

Cooking.com has inked $13.5 million in financing from BIA Digital Partners II L.P. and Azure Capital Partners. Damien Dovi, a partner at BIA, joined the company’s board as an observer. Cooking.com is based in Marina del Ray, Calif.

Coraid Adds $50M in New Funding

Redwood City, Calif.-based Coraid Inc. has added $50 million in a new round led by Crosslink Capital. Existing investors Menlo Ventures, Allegis Capital, Azure Capital Partners and affiliates of Silver Lake, as well as new investors Seagate Technology and Kinetic Ventures also contributed. Coraid is a developer of Ethernet SAN technology.
