Charterhouse Group and Thompson Street Capital Partners have acquired Perimeter Technology in partnership with Cequel III, a St. Louis-based management and investment firm. Oklahoma City-based Perimeter is a provider of data center colocation and managed hosting services. Terms of the deal were not released.

Charterhouse Sells Camelot System of Care

Charterhouse Group said Monday that its sold the Camelot System of Care to Sequel Youth and Family Services, which is backed by Levine Leichtman Capital Partners. Financial terms weren’t announced. Austin, Texas-based Camelot provides specialized behavioral health services to youth and adolescents with autism and other behavioral problems.

Charterhouse Group Inc. of New York sold Camelot Schools‘ education services division to The Riverside Co. Financial terms were not disclosed. Camelot is an Austin, Texas-based provider of behavioral health and alternative education services.

Towne Holdings Buys HBI Freight

Towne Holdings, a portfolio company of the Charterhouse Group, said Wednesday that it has bought HBI Freight. Financial terms were not announced. Dulles, Va.-based HBI is an air cargo and home delivery trucking company. Towne, of South Bend, Ind., provides air, ocean and expedited freight services through a network of seventy terminals in the U.S., according to a statement. Charterhouse is a PE firm. The HBI acquisition is the fifth add-on deal for Towne Holdings.

The Charterhouse Group said Monday it has completed its $260 million sale of Chamberlin Edmonds & Associates to a unit of Emdeon. Atlanta-based Chamberlin Edmonds provides patietn advocates and eligibility services to hospitals.

Charterhouse Raising Up To $600 Million for New Fund

Charterhouse Group is looking to raise between $500 million and $600 million for its fifth fund, peHUB has learned. Multiple sources confirm the news, although there is some disagreement over whether the firm is best described as “marketing” or “pre-marketing” (all depends on if there’s a PPM out there).

New York-based Charterhouse, a middle-market buyout shop, focuses on consumer, healthcare and business services. It typically invests about $30 million to $60 million equity per transaction.

Charterhouse Surprises Itself with NewPath Sale

The Charterhouse Group inked its second sale this year with a deal to sell NewPath Networks Inc. to Crown Castle International.

Crown Castle, a Houston cellular tower operator, is buying all of NewPath, including stakes held by Charterhouse, NewPath Chairman Bill Marraccini, and Meritage. The deal is expected to close in roughly 60 days.

Charterhouse Group has agreed to sell NewPath Networks Inc. to Crown Castle International Corp. (NYSE: CCI), for $115 million. NewPath is a Seattle-based developer and operator of distributed antenna system networks.
