PE-Backed Galls Merges with Quartermaster

Galls, a distributor of public safety, first responder and private security products owned by private equity firm CI Capital Partners, has merged with Quartermaster Inc. Terms of the deal were not released. Cerritos, Calif.-based Quartermaster is a specialty distributor of public safety products.

CI Capital Partners, the New York private equity firm, will acquire Interactive Health Solutions Inc., the provider of health and wellness solutions for terms undisclosed. MidCap Financial, Solar Capital and PennantPark Investment Corporation provided financing for the transaction.TripleTree LLC acted as financial advisor to IHS. Pepper Hamilton LLP provided legal counsel to IHS and Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP provided legal counsel to CI Capital.

CI Capital Partners has acquired Galls, a $163 million revenue, full-service marketer and distributor of public safety, first responder and private security products, from ARAMARK Corporation. PNC Business Credit provided financing for the transaction.

PNC Business Credit is providing financing. Lexington, Ken.-based Galls produces $163 million in revenue. Stephens Inc. advised ARAMARK.

Tech Air, the Connecticut-based distributor of specialty gases for welding and medical industries, will acquire Rhode Island-based Corp Bros., a similar company. Specifics of the deal were not publicized. Tech Air is backed by CI Capital Partners.

Madison, Wis.-based Conney Safety Products, which is owned by CI Capital Partners, has acquired Mettam Safety Supply Company of Danville, Illinois. Terms of the deal were not released. The acquisition is part of Conney’s strategy to expand its business as a specialty distributor of safety supplies and equipment. CI Capital Partners is a private equity firm based in New York.

American Residential Services Buys 2 Companies

American Residential Services, which is backed by CI Capital Partners, has acquired Brothers Air and Heat. In a second deal, American Residential has also bought Columbus/Worthington Air. Brothers Air serves Charlotte, N.C. while Columbus/Worthington Air targets Columbus. Financial terms of the deals were not announced. CI Capital is the former Caxton-Iseman Capital, of New York.

CI Capital Partners, the New York-based private equity firm closed CI Capital Investors II with $620 million, beating its target of $500 million. The managing principals of CI Capital were collectively the biggest investors in the fund. The PE shop has holdings in companies including Ply Gem, KIK Custom Products, A-T Solutions and Transplace.
