San Jose, Calif.-based advertising company BlackArrow has added financing from Time Warner Cable. The investment by Time Warner closes the company’s Series C funding, bringing the total amount raised to $27 million. The San Jose, Calif.-based company did not say exactly how much money Time Warner invested. BlackArrow is also backed by Cisco Systems, Comcast Interactive Capital, Intel Capital, Mayfield Fund, Motorola Mobility, NDS and Polaris Venture Partners. As a result of the latest round, Joan Gillman, president, media sales for Time Warner Cable, joins the BlackArrow board.

Location-based mobile media company JiWire has closed on $20 million in Series C financing. Palo Alto, Calif.-based Trident Capital led the round, which included participation from existing shareholders Comcast Interactive Capital, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Norwest Venture Partners and Panorama Capital. The company has raised a total of $45 million to date. Trident Capital’s John Moragne will join the JiWire board as a result of the round. JiWire is based in San Francisco.
