Enterproid Nets $11M in Funds

Enterproid, the platform for enterprise mobility, secured $11 million in funding led by Comcast Ventures with Google Ventures and Qualcomm Ventures. Founded by former mobile executives and engineers from Morgan Stanley, Enterproid is headquartered in New York, with offices in London and Hong Kong. Enterproid’s seed round investors included Genacast Ventures, High Peaks Venture Partners, and NYC Seed.

New CEO For iControl

Redwood City, California-based iControl Networks has appointed Robert Hagerty as the company’s new CEO. Hagerty will replace co-CEOs Jim Johnson and Paul Dawes, both of whom will remain with iControl in leadership positions. Investors in iControl include Charles River Ventures, Cisco, Comcast Ventures, Intel Capital, the Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers iFund, Rogers Communications and Tyco International.

Comcast Ventures Launches CTI Towers

Comcast Ventures, the venture capital arm of publicly traded Comcast Corp., has formed a new portfolio company: CTI Towers Inc. The company will own, operate, and develop telecommunications towers throughout the United States, the firm announced Wednesday. No terms of the investment were released. Anthony Peduto has been named chief executive of the new company. He was previously chief operating officer of Optasite, a company that acquired and developed telecommunications tower sites.

iControl Networks Inks $50M Series D

iControl Networks, a developer of broadband home management technology, has closed a $50 million Series D round, bringing the company’s funding to more than $100 million. The money will be used to speed up deployment of iControl’s energy management solution and other broadband home management services, the company said. Investors include Cisco, Comcast Ventures, Intel Capital, Charles River Ventures, the Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers iFund, Rogers Communications and Tyco International.
