Personal Capital Raises $25M From Crosslink, BlackRock, IVP, Venrock

Personal Capital said it raised $25 million of Series C financing in a deal led by Crosslink Capital and joined by new investor BlackRock and existing investors Institutional Venture Partners and Venrock. Crosslink’s Jim Feuille has joined the board.

Scripted.com Raises $4.5M In Crosslink & Redpoint Led Deal

Scripted.com said it raised $4.5 million in a Series A financing led by Crosslink Capital and Redpoint Ventures. Joining the round are James Currier and Stan Chudnovsky from Ooga Labs, Branchout CEO Rick Marini, Bebo co-founder Michael Birch, Military.com co-founder Chris Michel and LA angel Paige Craig. Chris Moore from Redpoint Ventures and Eric Chin from Crosslink Capital will be join the board.

TakeLessons Secures Financing

TakeLessons, an online service marketplace for music lessons in the US, has secured a $4 million round of venture capital financing, bringing the total investment into the company to more than $12 million. Triangle Peak Partners led the round with participation from Siemer Ventures and existing investors Crosslink Capital and SoftTech VC.

Peer-to-peer lending marketplace Prosper has appointed Scott Strait as chief technology officer. Prosper has raised $80.9 million in venture capital and is backed by investors including Accel Partners; Larry Cheng of Volition Capital; David Silverman of Crosslink Capital; Court Coursey of TommorrowVentures; Timothy Draper of Draper Fisher Jurvetson; Capital One Co-founder Nigel Morris of QED Investors; Eric Schwartz; DAG Ventures; Mertiech Capital and Omidyar Network.

On The Run Tech is Formed

Postcard on the Run has formed On The Run Tech, its parent company that specializes in building mobile apps that let users create customized physical products right from their mobile device. On The Run Tech recently closed a seed round of $1.3 million bringing the total amount of funding to date to $2 million. Selena Gomez, an investor and creative advisor to the company, participated in the new round along with Crosslink Capital, Crosscut Ventures, Siemer Ventures, Miramar Venture Partners, Newport Coast Investments and Double M Capital among other investors.

ServiceMax Inks $27 Million New Funding

ServiceMax, a provider of cloud-based, mobile and social field service applications has secured $27 million series D investment led by Crosslink Capital. Also participating in the round were Emergence Capital Partners, Mayfield Fund and Trinity Ventures. ServiceMax has raised $52 million to date.

The first closing of $10 million took place on October 4th, 2012 and was led by TeleSoft Partners, along with full participation from existing investors, including Crosslink Capital, Panorama Capital, Qualcomm Ventures and Venture Tech Associates.

Big Data Company DataStax Racks Up Third Round of Funding

DataStax, the provider of the open source database management system Apache Cassandra, has raised a $25 million Series C round of funding. Meritech Capital Partners led the round, with participation from existing investors Lightspeed Venture Partners and Crosslink Capital. The company has now raised $38.7 million in fudning since 2010.

Crosslink Raises $320 Mln with Latest Fund

Crosslink Capital said it raised $320 million for its latest fund. Crossover Fund VI will be actively invested through April 30, 2018 and 6% of total funding has been committed by Crosslink’s General Partners and employees. Crosslink, of San Francisco, is s venture capital and growth equity firm with over $1.8 billion in assets. Investments include Pandora, Ancestry.com and Omniture.

The company is backed by Relay Ventures, Hummer Winblad, True Ventures, Verizon Ventures, Crosslink Capital and others.
