Cyprium Investment Partners has realized its investment in Imperial Bag & Paper Co. Imperial is a wholesale distributor of paper and plastic packaging and janitorial supplies sold to the food service industry and retailers nationwide. Investment firms are being spun out of banks left and right—some, to keep companies in compliance with the new requirements imposed on banks via Dodd-Frank. peHUB has been tracking some of the spin-outs seeking capital, and some others, that have not yet needed to fundraise—but soon, might. While the fundraising market has been generous to some private equity firms, other PE shops could face difficulty bringing in capital absent of their big-brother LPs. Only time will tell….

Cyprium Backs Network Hardware Resale

Private equity firm Cyprium Investment Partners has completed a subordinated debt and equity investment in Network Hardware Resale. Terms of the deal were not released. NHR is a provider of pre-owned and new networking solutions, and the infusion will help the company refinance existing debt, as well as support operations and expansion efforts. NRH is based in Santa Barbara, Calif. Cyprium has offices in Cleveland and New York.
