New York and San Francisco-based Darwin Ventures has added Stephanie Sarka as a venture partner. Sarka was a co-founder of Overture, which was later sold to Yahoo for $1.6 billion. She will help Darwin Ventures build its investment presence in consumer brands and online commerce, the company said.

San Francisco-based Darwin Ventures has named Jay Bhatti to the post of general partner, and added Zach Heilman as lead engineering manager. Bhatti previously co-founded people search engine Spock.com. Heilman was previously the lead front-end engineer at Spock.com. Heilman and Bhatti will be based in New York City.

Robert Young and Ken Hausman have joined Darwin Ventures as partners, while Sunil Kurkure as a principal. All three were previously with Mirador Capital.
