M-Files Inc. said it raised $7.7 million of Series A funding in a round led by DFJ Esprit and joined by the Finnish Industry Investment. The company said DFJ Esprit’s Mikko Suonenlahti joined the board along with Jim Geary and Bob Suh.

Kiadis Pharma, a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company developing treatments for blood cancers, has raised 10 million euros ($12.8 million) in an equity financing round. The round was led by Life Sciences Partners and supported by a large investment from DFJ-Esprit. Other investors included Alta Partners, Quest for Growth and NOM.

NICE Systems is to acquire DFJ Esprit-backed Redkite Financial Markets. The business is a provider of real-time, cloud-based institutional trade surveillance solutions.

Datahug said it raised $3.2 million in a Series A financing from DFJ Esprit. The new money will enable the Dublin company to expand in the US and elsewhere, and build its customer base across industry sectors.

DFJ Esprit said it has sold its French portfolio company EVE and its line of ZeBu hardware-assisted verification products to Synopsys. The exit is the firm’s fifteen since January 2010, which together have a combined value of more than $2.1 billion. DFJ Esprit added in a press release that since July 2011 it has invested in 10 new companies and 20 follow-on rounds.

DisplayLink®, a provider of solutions that simplify the connection between monitors and computing devices, has closed $10.4 million of growth financing.
