Online education company Lynda.com has raised its first round of funding, securing $103 million in growth equity from Accel Partners, Spectrum Equity and Meritech Capital Partners. As part of the funding, Andrew Braccia of Accel and Vic Parker of Spectrum, have joined the board.

Salt Lake City-based Instructure Canvas, a provider of a cloud-based learning management systems, plans to announce on Friday that it has raised $8 million in Series B funding from OpenView Venture Partners, EPIC Ventures, TomorrowVentures and Tim Draper of Draper Fisher Jurveston.
