Acacia Communications said it raised $20 million in a round led by Summit Partners and joined by existing investors Matrix Partners , Commonwealth Capital Ventures and Egan Managed Capital. Summit Partners Managing Director Peter Chung will join the company’s board.

AppNeta Inc., a provider of cloud-delivered services for IT performance management, has raised US$16 million in Series C funding. The round was jointly led by existing Canadian and US investors Bain Capital Ventures, BDC Venture Capital, Egan-Managed Capital and JMI Equity. AppNeta, which has offices in Vancouver and Boston, has been a venture-backed company since its original seed-stage financing in June, 2000.

Software testing company uTest has closed a $17 million Series D round led by QuestMark Partners, with participation from previous Scale Venture Partners, Longworth Venture Partners, Egan-Managed Capital and Mesco Ltd., the company announced Monday. uTest, based in Boston, has raised a total of $37 million since it was formed in 2007.

OwnerIQ, the Boston-based developer of a real-time media buying platform, has closed on $7 million in fresh capital from its existing shareholders and from Longworth Venture Partners, the company announced Monday. AppNeta, a cloud-based provider of network performance management technology, has closed on $6.2 million in new venture funding. Investors include Bain Capital Ventures, Egan-Managed Capital, JMI Equity, and Business Development Bank of Canada. The money will help AppNeta expand its cloud-based network performance management service. AppNeta is based in Wellesley Hills, Mass.

Currensee, an alternative investment service designed to give investors access to the world currency markets, has raised $4 million in Series C financing. North Bridge Venture Partners, Egan-Managed Capital and Vernon & Park Capital provided the financing, which brings Currensee’s total raised to $16.8 million. The latest round of funding will be used to develop new decision-making, collaboration and portfolio management tools for investors, and to fortify the Currensee technology infrastructure including data center expansion, the company said.

Envista Corp. has raised $4.1 million from a group of seven investors including Hanover, N.H.-based Borealis Ventures; Boston-based Egan Managed Capital; and Providence, R.I.-based Point Judith Capital. Based in Beverly, Mass., Envista develops Web-based software designed to provide real-time information to help municipalities better manage utility projects, traffic, community events, and other projects. The company will continue fundraising efforts and aims to close its current round at $7.6 million.

WordStream Inc., a Boston-based provider of productivity tools for paid and natural search engine marketing, has raised $6 million in Series B funding. Egan-Managed Capital led the round, and was joined by return backer Sigma Partners. The company previously raised $4 million.
