Enhanced Capital Partners through its SBIC fund, Enhanced Small Business Investment Company has recently purchased a $9.0 million senior subordinated note issued by Masthead Industries. Masthead is engaged in the wholesale distribution of industrial and hydraulic hoses and fittings, hose assembly systems, and mobile repair service carrying over 46,000 SKUs.

Enhanced Capital Partners has provided $4.4 million of financing to Houston-based Lapolla Industries, a manufacturer of insulation foam, coatings, and equipment, focused on commercial, industrial and residential applications in the insulation and construction industries. Ithaca-based BinOptics Corp., a maker of lasers and monolithically integrated optoelectronic components, has raised $13.3 million in new funding. New investors Advantage Capital Partners, Enhanced Capital Partners, Gefinor Ventures, Onondaga Venture Capital Fund and Rand Capital participated in the round, as did existing shareholders ArrowPath Venture Partners, Cayuga Venture Fund, Draper Fisher Jurvetson and FA Technology Ventures. The new funding will go toward development and expansion efforts.
