Chute Opens Up With $7M Series A

San Francisco-based startup Chute announced Tuesday it raised $7 million Series A round of funding led by Foundry Group, with existing investors Freestyle Capital and U.S. Venture Partners also participating. The company, which came out out of Y Combinator, previously raised about $3 million in funding from institutional ind individual investors, including Klout co-founder and CEO Joe Fernandez.

Cendana Has Final Close On Institutional Seed Fund Of Funds

Cendana Capital announced the final close of a pair of seed-based fund of funds on Friday. The institutional seed investor now has raised $88.2 million and taken a position with nine investment partnerships. The final close announced Friday in a document filed with Securities and Exchange Commission was on $28.2 million raised by Cendana Capital L.P.

Impermium, maker of a service to fight social web spam, has closed on $8 million in Series A funding. Highland Capital Partners led the round, with participation from existing investors including The Social+Capital Partnership and Freestyle Capital.

Enflick Inks $1M Seed Funding

Enflick, the creator of free text messaging application TextNow and instant messaging application PingChat!, has inked more than $1 million in seed financing, the company announced Wednesday. Freestyle Capital led the round with participation by the Menlo Talent Fund, Menlo Ventures’ Seed Program. Individual investors also joined in, including Troy Carter, the manager for Lady Gaga; and Scooter Braun, manager for pop star Justin Bieber.
