It looks like L.A. may have a new venture capital firm. Velos Partners of Beverly Hills is on the hunt for $50 million, according to an SEC filing. The firm’s managing directors include James Bailey, who most recently was an associate at GRP Partners.

Disruption – the very thing VCs expect from their portfolio companies – has begun to reshape the venture business, Mark Suster told general partners at Thomson Reuters’ Venture Alpha East conference in Boston earlier this month.

GRP Partners is appointing Greg Bettinelli as venture partner. He joins from online flash-sale retailer HauteLook.

RingRevenue has raised an additional $3.25 million in growth capital led by existing investors GRP Partners and Rincon Venture Partners. RingRevenue is a developer of call marketing automation solutions.

Grubwithus has raised $5 million in Series A funding from GRP Partners and Lebanese entrepreneur Michel Daher, known for Daher Foods.
