Infinio Inks $10m from Highland Capital and Bessemer Venture Partners

Infinio (formerly known as SilverLining Systems) has closed a $10 million Series A investment from Highland Capital Partners and Bessemer Venture Partners, bringing total funding to date to $12 million. The firms join earlier investors Lightspeed Venture Partners, Cambridge’s Founder Collective, the NYC Seed Fund, and a group of angel investors. As part of the financing, Highland’s Sean Dalton and Bessemer’s Felda Hardymon have joined the company’s board of directors.

Ed Park Joins Board of Healthcare Tech Company Kyruus

Boston-based healthcare tech company Kyruus has a new board member: Ed Park, the COO of Athenahealth. Park was an early investor in Kyrruus, which has raised roughly $20 million from investors including Highland Capital Partners and Venrock since 2011.

Aereo Closes Series B Led by IAC and Highland Capital Partners

Aereo has closed on a $38 million Series B round of financing, led by existing investors IAC and Highland Capital Partners. Previous investors from Aereo’s Series A funding round, including FirstMark Capital, First Round Capital, High Line Venture Partners, and select individuals, also participated.

Prescription Eyewear Acquires LensOn

Prescription Eyewear, parent company of myOptique.com, SunglassesShop.com and GlassesDirect.com, has added LensOn, a Nordic online contact lens seller, to its portfolio. The acquisition was financed by Prescription Eyewear’s existing venture capital investors Acton Capital Partners, Highland Capital Partners and Index Ventures. Additional funding was received from GP BullHound Sidecar, Silicon Valley Bank and Kreos Capital.

Qumulo Raises Series A Led by Highland

Qumulo, an enterprise data storage company, has raised $24.5 million in a Series A round of financing led by Highland Capital Partners, with participation from Madrona Venture Group and Valhalla Partners. The business was founded in March 2012 with seed funding from Valhalla Partners. As part of the investment, Peter Bell, general partner at Highland Capital Partners, joins the board of directors.

thredUP.com Secures Series C Led by Highland

thredUP.com, an online children’s clothing platform, has secured a $14.5 million Series C financing led by Highland Capital Partners. Existing investors Trinity Ventures and Redpoint Ventures also participated.

SingTel Acquires Pixable for $26.5M
