Datanyze racks up $2 mln seed

Datanyze said Tuesday that it has closed $2 million in seed funding. IDG Ventures led the round with participation from Google Ventures, Mark Cuban, AngelList, Gil Penchina, Neeraj Agrawal, Jeff Epstein and Kyle York. Based in San Mateo, Calif., Datanyze is a provider of sales prospecting solutions.


Lightspeed Venture Partners leads Series A round for EverString

EverString said Tuesday that it has received $12 million in Series A funding. Lightspeed Venture Partners led the round with participation from investors that included Sequoia Capital and IDG Ventures. EverString helps firms identify and engage with prospective customers.

Smartling names CFO

Smartling has hired Adi Dehejia as chief financial officer. Previously, Dehejia was the CFO for Rhapsody International. Based in New York City, Smartling is a provider of cloud-based translation software solutions. It is backed by Tenaya Capital, First Round Capital, IDG Ventures, U.S. Venture Partners, Venrock and Harmony Partners.


Simply Hired bags $12 mln

Simply Hired has raised $12 million in funding. The investors were Foundation Capital, IDG Ventures and City National Bank. Based in Sunnyvale, Calif., Simply Hired operates job search engines in many different countries and languages.


SAP Ventures leads Series B round for Krux

Krux, a provider of cloud-based data management solutions, has closed $35 million in Series B funding. SAP Ventures led the round with participation from Time Warner Investments, Visionnaire Ventures, Temasek, Accel Partners, IDG Ventures and The Entrepreneurs Fund. In addition to the funding, Nino Marakovic, CEO and managing director of SAP Ventures, will join Krux’s board.


Smartling closes $25 mln funding

Smartling has closed a $25 million series D round of funding, led by ICONIQ Capital. Smartling’s prior investors also participated including First Round Capital, Harmony Partners, IDG Ventures, Tenaya Capital, U.S. Venture Partners and Venrock.


Beauty Noted appoints new president/CEO, also grabs $2.2 mln

Beauty Noted has named Kate Thorp as president and CEO. Also, the firm has received $2.2 million in seed funding. Kortschak Investments led the round with participation from IDG Ventures and Crosslink Capital. Headquartered in Sausalito, Calif., Beauty Noted is a crowdsourcing platform focused on beauty products.


ParkMe hires new CFO

ParkMe has hired Daniel Yukelson as chief financial officer. Previously, Yukelson worked at Premiere Radio Networks where he served as executive vice president and CFO. Based in Santa Monica, Calif., ParkMe is an online parking reservations platform. Its backers include Fontinalis Partners, IDG Ventures and Angeleno Group.

Finland-based Next Games snares $6 mln

Next Games has received $6 million in Series A funding. IDG Ventures and Jari Ovaskainen led the round with participation from Lowercase Capital, AMC Networks Ventures and York Ventures. Based in Finland, Next Games is a games developer.

Yesware secures series B led by Battery Ventures

Yesware has secured $13.5 million in series B funding. The round was led by Battery Ventures, with existing investors Google Ventures, Foundry Group, IDG Ventures, and Golden Venture Partners all participating. In total, Yesware raised $18.5 million.

ParkMe and Amano McGann Join Forces: CORRECTED

ParkMe, a leading provider of real-time parking information to navigation companies and consumers and Amano McGann, a provider of off-street parking automation in the US, have merged entered into a partnership. Angeleno Group, Fontinalis Partners and IDG Ventures are previous investors of ParkMe.

MindMeld Creator Expect Labs Raises $2.4M From KPG, Google, Angels and More

Expect Labs, which recently came out of stealth to announce a voice and video calling app for the iPad that understands conversations in real-time, has raised $2.4 million in funding from KPG Ventures, IDG Ventures, Google Ventures, Greylock Partners, Bessemer Venture Partners and Quest Venture Partners. Several individual investors, including Naval Ravikant, Gil Elbaz and Don Hutchison, also invested. The San Francisco-based company expects to release its app, called MindMeld, in late October.
