Vicente Capital Partners has acquired a controlling stake in Intellectual Technology. Financial terms were not announced. Carlsbad, Calif.-based ITI provides on-demand printing and fulfillment solutions to modernize DMV operations and services. Imperial Capital provided financial advice to ITI.

Imperial Capital Adds Barnes as MD

David M.V. Barnes will join Imperial Capital as a managing director and head of its financial sponsors coverage team in the investment bank’s LA office. Previously, Barnes had been with investment bank Houlihan Lokey.

Imperial Capital Adds John Putrino

Imperial Capital has added John Putrino as a managing director in the investment banking group. Previously Putrino was the head of North American lodging and leisure for the investment banking group at Credit Suisse. In his new role, Putrino will be based in New York, and will focus on the real estate, lodging and leisure sectors.

Imperial Capital Promotes Nicole Fry to MD

Imperial Capital has promoted Nicole Fry to managing director in its investment banking group, the firm said. Fry is based in Los Angeles, and focuses on the consumer sector, including restaurants and food and beverage companies. Investment banking firm Imperial Capital was formed in 1997 and has offices in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Minneapolis, Boston and Houston.
