Guavus has received $20 million in funding. The investors included Artiman Ventures, Sofinnova Ventures, Intel Capital, SingTel Innov8, Investor Growth Capital, QuestMark Partners and Goldman Sachs. Based in San Mateo, Calif., Guavus is a provider of big data analytics solutions for operational intelligence.

VC-backed PulsePoint expands team with new hire

New York-based ad tech platform PulsePoint has hired Mitchell Eisenberg as general counsel and SVP of corporate development. Previously, Eisenberg worked at Mediabistro. PulsePoint’s backers include Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Gotham Ventures, New Atlantic Ventures, Investor Growth Capital, Updata Partners and VantagePoint Capital Partners.

Digital business company Acquia bags $50 mln

Acquia has raised $50 million in funding. New Enterprise Associates led the round with participation from Split Rock Partners, North Bridge Venture Partners, Sigma Partners, Investor Growth Capital and Tenaya Capital. In addition to the funding, Ravi Viswanathan, general partner at NEA, has been named to Acquia’s board of directors. Headquartered in Burlington, Mass., Acquia is a digital business firm.

PulsePoint has hired Julie Preis as SVP of product management. Previously, Preis worked at Mocean Mobile. Headquartered in New York City, PulsePoint is an advertising tech and content creation firm. Its backers include Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Gotham Ventures, New Atlantic Ventures, Investor Growth Capital, Updata Partners and VantagePoint Capital Partners.

Conductor, a search engine optimization technology business, has secured $20 million in Series C financing led by Investor Growth Capital. Existing investors FirstMark Capital and Matrix Partners also participated in the round.

Aternity Inks $13M Series D

Atternity Inc. has raised $13 million in Series D financing. Investor Growth Capital led the round, which included participation from existing investors Vertex Venture Capital, Genesis Partners, Intel Capital, Clal Industries and Investments LTD. Atternity will use the infusion to expand sales and marketing, as well as development efforts. The company makes enterprise software designed to provide application, physical and virtual desktop monitoring coverage, and real-time analytics.

Investor Growth Capital Adds $300M – CORRECTED

Investor Growth Capital, formerly a business unit within Investor AB, announced Wednesday that it is now an independent venture firm with Investor AB as its sole limited partner. Additionally, Investor AB has added $300 million in new capital to the firm’s current fund, IGC Fund VI, bringing the size of the fund to more than $1.3 billion. The firm focuses on expansion-stage technology and healthcare companies in the United States and Greater China.

Online legal services site Rocket Lawyer has wrapped up $18.5 million in financing led by August Capital. Google Ventures and Investor Growth Capital also joined in the round. Formed in 2008, Rocket Lawyer helps users create customized legal documents that can be downloaded and shared. With the site’s legal plan, users can have documents reviewed for free by local attorneys, as well as see discounted rates on legal services.

Intuity Medical Seals $76M Series D

Intuity Medical Inc., a developer of glucose monitoring technologies for managing diabetes, has closed a second tranche of its Series D financing, bringing the round’s total to $76 million. Accuitive Medical Ventures joined as a new investor. The firm is also backed by Investor Growth Capital, Thomas McNerney and Partners, Venrock, Versant Ventures and U.S. Venture Partners. Intuity Medical is based in Sunnyvale, Calif.
