Irving Place Capital to sell Victor Technologies

Private equity firm Irving Place Capital is to sell Victor Technologies to Colfax Corporation, a global manufacturer of gas- and fluid-handling and fabrication technology products. Headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, Victor Technologies provides superior solutions for cutting, gas control, and specialty welding equipment. The all cash transaction values Victor at approximately $947 million.

Mold-Rite Plastics Acquires Stull Technologies

Mold-Rite Plastics, a manufacturer of rigid plastic packaging products, has acquired Stull Technologies, a New Jersey-based manufacturer of dispensing closures, caps, lids, and packaging components. Mold-Rite Plastics is owned by private equity firm Irving Place Capital.

Quebin to Irving Place’s Dots

Nido Quebin, president of High Point University, has been elected to the board of directors of Cleveland-based Dots LLC, a fashion retailer included in the portfolio of private equity firm Irving Place Capital. Quebin’s other governance positions include board seats with BB&T and La-Z-Boy.

Irving Place Capital Names Pearlman Senior Advisor

Irving Place Capital, a middle-market private equity firm, has added Michelle Pearlman as senior advisor. She joins from Sears Holding Corp., where she was a senior vice president and president of the jewelry business unit. Previously, Pearlman worked as an executive vice president with Ann Taylor Inc. At Irving Place, she will help the firm’s portfolio companies with consumer marketing, retail operations, merchandising, e-commerce and digital and social media strategies.

PE-backed Multi Packing Solutions Buys Cartondruck

Multi Packaging Solutions, which is backed by Irving Place Capital, will acquire Cartondruck AG, a company based in Obersulm, Germany. Financial terms of the deal were not released. Cartondruck is a manufacturer of packaging for the cosmetics, confectionery, consumer and healthcare markets in Europe and the U.S. Multi Packaging Solutions makes packaging for cosmetics, healthcare, horticulture, media and consumer markets.
