Angels continued to aggressively put money to work in the third quarter of last year, with medianl round size jumping to a 15-month high and dollars going to mobile startups rising to 16.5% of total investments.

VCharge Adds $1.9M

The Slater Technology Fund has reinvested in energy management services company VCharge, bringing its total investment to $250,000. The new money comes as part of a $1.9 million funding round. Clean Energy Venture Group, Launchpad Venture Group and EOS Ventures also contributed to the round. The money will go toward development and additional hires.

Localytics Inks Undisclosed Amount in Series A

Cambridge, Mass.-based Localytics has closed an undisclosed amount of Series A financing, led by existing shareholders investors Launchpad Venture Group and New York Angels. Hub Angels came in as a new investor. The money will be used for expanded sales and development. The company announced in May 2010 that it had sealed $700,000 in an initial round of financing.
