Cendana Has Final Close On Institutional Seed Fund Of Funds

Cendana Capital announced the final close of a pair of seed-based fund of funds on Friday. The institutional seed investor now has raised $88.2 million and taken a position with nine investment partnerships. The final close announced Friday in a document filed with Securities and Exchange Commission was on $28.2 million raised by Cendana Capital L.P.

Bluefin Labs joins Twitter

Social TV analytics business Bluefin Labs has joined Twitter. Last year, Bluefin Labs raised $12 million in a Series B round led by Time Warner Investments with participation from SoftBank Capital, Redpoint Ventures and Lerer Ventures.

IFTTT Raises $7M From Andreessen, NEA, Lerer

IFTTT said it raised a $7 million Series A round led by Andreessen Horowitz and joined by New Enterprise Associates and Lerer Ventures. Andreessen’s John O’Farrell joins the board.

Spindle Labs Inks $2.3M

Spindle Labs Inc., a developer of search technology, has raised $2.3 million in venture funding, and recently released the company’s app in iTunes. The company is backed by Polaris Ventures, Greylock Partners, Lerer Ventures, SV Angel, Atlas Ventures, Broad Beach Ventures, Project 11, Ray Ozzie and Raman Narayanan. Spindle Labs is based in Boston.

OrderGroove Raises $6.7 Million

OrderGroove, a subscription and membership commerce business,has secured more than $6.7 million in venture capital financing. Fung Capital USA led the oversubscribed Series B round, with additional investment from Lerer Ventures, Legend and SWaN Ventures, Allegro Venture Partners, Bee Partners, as well as former Walmart.com CEO Raul Vazquez and NEW Corporation‘s chairman Fred Schaufeld.

Lerer Ventures Raises $36M Third Fund

Lerer Ventures said it has raised a $36 million third fund to continue making seed investments in New York and Silicon Valley. The new fund is a noticeable step up from the firm’s $25 million second fund from 2011 and will enable Lerer to take larger positions in portfolio companies.
