LLR Partners Scoops up Paragon Technology Group

Philadelphia-based private equity firm LLR Partners will acquire Paragon Technology Group, a provider of tech solutions to public sector clients. Specifics of the transaction were not publicized, but Scott Friedlander has been appointed President and CEO of the company following LLR’s investment in the company. Some equity will be distributed among the firm’s employees, executives and founders.

Stonehenge Growth Equity Exits VectorLearning

Stonehenge Growth Equity has exited its investment in Tampa, Fla.-based online education and training company VectorLearning, the firm announced Wednesday. The profitable exit was part of a recapitalization of VectorLearning completed by LLR Partners. Terms of the exit were not released, though LLR Partners said in August that it was putting $24 million into VectorLearning.

Software maker Quintiq has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from LLR Partners and NewSpring Capital. The minority investment will help Quintiq, formed in 1997, with growth plans. Quintiq is based in Philadelphia and says that it is profitable.

Updata Leads $18M For Pet360

Updata Partners led an $18 million growth equity investment in Pet360 Inc., an online pet information and commerce company. Existing shareholder LLR Partners also contributed to the round. The company, based in Plymouth Meeting, Penn., is the parent company of pet food and supplies site PetFoodDirect.com, as well as other web sites focused on pets. Updata Partners has offices in Virginia and New Jersey.
