Ed Tech Company Netchemia Raises $6.5M

Kansas-based Netchemia announced today that it raised $6.5 million from San Francisco-based growth-equity investor Mainsail Partners. The 12-year-old company provides schools with tools for hiring and managing employee performance. The company reportedly raised previous funding from undisclosed angel investors.

Mainsail Partners Adds Three to Operations Team

The San Francisco-based private equity firm Mainsail Partners has announced three new hires, including Kathyrn Cavanaugh, Amy Corrieo, and Chris Cassidy. Cavanaugh, a former venture capitalist who last worked for Sightline Partners and De Novo Ventures, joins Mainsail as vice president of talent, a recruiting position. Corrieo, previously director of Finance for Professional Healthcare, is now Mainsail’s controller. And Cassidy, who joined Mainsail two years ago after working in marketing at Yahoo, has been promoted to operating partner at the firm.

Professional Healthcare Adds On

Professional Healthcare, an acquisition platform sponsored by Mainsail Partners, has acquired Home Health Services Inc., a St. George, Utah-based provider of home nursing and hospice services. No financial terms were disclosed.
