Moelis Capital Partners, the PE arm of Moelis & Co., said Monday that it has acquired CyberCore Technologies. Financial terms weren’t announced. Roark Capital was the seller. Elkridge, Md.-based CyberCore provides IT services to the federal government and intelligence community. FBR & Co. acted as financial advisor to MCP. SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, RBS Citizens and Bank of America provided senior debt financing and Hancock Capital Partners Investment Management provided the mezzanine financing.

MidCap Financial, a commercial finance company backed by Genstar Capital, Lee Equity Partners, and Moelis Capital Partners, has extended and renegotiated its four primary credit facilities to now exceed $900 million. The company launched in September 2008, and focuses on middle market healthcare finance. The company is based in Bethesda, Maryland.
Moelis Capital Partners said Thursday that it has appointed Lex Leeming as head of business development based in New York. Leeming will source and qualify public and proprietary investments. Previously, Leeming was a principal with Park Avenue Equity Partners.
Moelis Capital Partners said Thursday that Barbara Hill has been appointed an operating partner. Hill was most recently CEO of ValueOptions. She will focus on healthcare-related investments, and provide strategic and operating support to Moelis Capital’s healthcare portfolio companies. Moelis Capital is the PE arm of Moelis & Co.
Huron Capital has exited its investment in Quest Specialty Chemicals, earning 4.1x its original investment, the firm said. Huron exited as Quest was recapitalized by Audax Group, Moelis Capital Partners, and Quest management. Terms of the deal were not released. Huron invested in Quest from The Huron Fund II LP, a $185 million fund raised in 2005.
After more than six years, Huron Capital has sold Quest Specialty Chemicals to Audax Group and Moelis Capital Partners.
Financial terms weren’t announced. Audax and Moelis will have 50-50 shared control, said Geoffrey Rehnert, Audax’s co-CEO, in an email response to questions.
Ted Yun has joined Moelis Capital Partners, the private equity unit of Moelis & Co., as a managing partner. He most recently was a founder of managing partner of West Hill Partners. He also has been with DLJ Merchant Banking and J.W. Childs.
