Sequoia Capital leads $25 mln Series D funding round in Druva

Sequoia Capital has led a $25 million Series D funding round in Druva, a data protection business. Other participants in the funding include Nexus Venture Partners and Tenaya Capital. The funding round comes 10 months after the company raised $25 million in Series C funding from the same investors. Druva has raised a total of $67 million since 2010.


Helpshift calls on $10 mln Series A led by Intel

Helpshift, which provides customer help services for Circa, Flipboard, TinyCo and other mobile apps, has raised $10 million in Series A funding. Intel Capital led the round, which also included Visionnaire Ventures and existing investors True Ventures and Nexus Venture Partners. The San Francisco-based company has now raised $13.2 million in total funding. As part of the funding, Susan Choe, managing partner at Visionnaire, has joined the board.


VC-backed Kaltura buys pay TV service startup Tvinci

Open source video platform Kaltura has acquired Tvinci. No financial terms were disclosed. Tvinci is a provider of pay OTT TV services. Kaltura’s backers include SAP Ventures, Nokia Growth Partners, Intel Capital, Nexus Venture Partners and Commonfund Capital.


Nexus Venture Partners, BDC and Mark Cuban back Procurify

Procurify has received $1.2 million in seed funding. The investors included Nexus Venture Partners, Mark Cuban and the Business Development Bank of Canada. Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Procurify is a cloud procurement software company.


Nexus Venture Partners and Intel Capital back ElasticBox

ElasticBox said Wednesday that it raised $9 million in Series A funding. The investors were Nexus Venture Partners and Intel Capital. Based in Mountain View, Calif., ElasticBox is a provider of solutions that allow developers and businesses to deploy and manage apps.

Indix Corporation attracts funds led by Avalon and Nexus

Indix Corporation has closed $8.5 million of a $9 million Series A-1 round of financing, co-led by Avalon Ventures and Nexus Venture Partners. Founded in 2010, Indix is a SaaS and big data product intelligence platform based in Seattle with a product development and engineering team in Chennai, India.

Cloud Service Provider CloudByte Secures $4M

Cloud service provider CloudByte has raised a $4 million Series B round of funding that was led by Fidelity Growth Partners India and included existing investors Nexus Venture Partners and Kae Capital. The Campbell, Calif.-based company has now raised $6.1 million in total funding, following a $2.1 million Series A round that was led by Nexus in June 2012.

Assured Labor Raises $5.5M From Capital Indigo, Great Oaks, Nexus, Others

Assured Labor said it raised $5.5 million in a round led by Capital Indigo and joined by existing investors Great Oaks Venture Capital, Nexus Venture Partners, Kima Ventures, Enzyme Venture Capital, Fabrice Grinda and Jose Marin. The mobile recruitment company said the money will allow it to expand engineering and sales staff to handle emerging markets demand.

Kaltura Secures $25m New Funding

Kaltura, an open source video platform, has secured $25 million of funding from new investors Mitsui & Co. Global Investment, Inc. and ORIX Ventures. Existing investors Nexus Venture Partners, Intel Capital, .406 Ventures and Avalon Ventures also participated.

Aryaka Raises $25M From InterWest, Presidio, Nexus, Trinity And Mohr

Aryaka said it raised a $25 million Series C round of funding led by InterWest Partners. Presidio Ventures and existing investors Nexus Venture Partners, Trinity Ventures and Mohr Davidow Ventures participated.
