Stealthy Swipp Secures $3.5M

Palo Alto, Calif.-based Swipp, a new startup that wants to challenge the “social media status quo,” has raised $3.5 million in funding from Old Willow Partners in its first round of funding. As part of its launch – to be rolled out in stages over the next several months – Swipp says it will invite users around the world to try its product.

BestVendor Closes $3M Series A

BestVendor has closed a $3 million Series A round co-led by RRE Ventures and SoftBank Capital. Additional investors include Lerer Ventures, who invested in the company’s seed round, along with David Tisch, Founder Collective and Old Willow Partners, the company announced Tuesday. New York-based BestVendor is an online resources where users share and recommend work-related applications.

AisleBuyer Nabs $7.5M from Old Willow Partners

Mobile commerce and self-checkout technology company AisleBuyer has closed on a $7.5 million round led by Old Willow Partners. The funding will be used for product development, and to bolster the company’s engineering and sales teams. Old Willow Partners, a Northfield, Illinois-based firm, also contributed to the company’s first round in 2010. AisleBuyer is based in Boston.
