YCD Multimedia has acquired C-nario, a venture backed maker of high-end digital signage. Terms of the sale were not released. The company also announced, however, that it had closed on $6 million in new fundraising from investors including Carmel Ventures, Opus Capital, Pitango Venture Capital and Plenus. C-nario is backed by Carmel Ventures and Opus Capital. YCD is backed by Pitango Venture Capital, Plenus, Arts Alliance Digital Ventures, and others.

SolarEdge Technologies Inc., an Israeli provider of end-to-end solar power optimization and PV monitoring technology, has raised $37 million in venture capital. Norwest Venture Partners led the round, which is aimed at expanding the company’s reach and bolstering production plans. Existing investors Opus Capital, Walden International, Genesis Partners, Vertex Venture Capital, Lightspeed Venture Partners and GE also participated in the round.

AlertEnterprise Inc. has raised $19 million in fresh capital from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Opus Capital and Startup Farms Investors. The company, based in Fremont, Calif., makes security products designed to prevent theft, fraud and acts of terrorism against technology infrastructure. Kleiner managing partner Ray Lane is joining the company’s board as a result of the round.

Wanova Inc., a maker of cloud desktop software, has closed a $10 million Series B round from Greylock Partners, Carmel Ventures and Opus Capital. The money will help Wanova build out its sales and support teams, the company said. Wanova is based in in San Jose, Calif.

Ken Elefant has joined Intel Capital as an investment director. Elefant joins from Opus Capital where he was a founding general partner. In his new role, Elefant will focus on software investments in security, compliance, big data and software-as-a-service. Before forming Opus Capital, Elefant was a senior associate at Lightspeed Venture Partners.

VCs Khosla Ventures and Opus Capital pitched in, along with other investors, to provide Touchtone Semiconductor with a $12 million funding, it was announced. Pierre Lamond, a general partner with Khosla Ventures, and Gill Cogan, general partner with Opus Capital, worked on the transaction. Cathal Phelan, chief technical officer at Cypress Semiconductor Corp. and a 25-year semiconductor industry expert, has joined the company’s board of directors.
