Blackrock and Passport Capital leads $100 mln for New Relic

Software analytics provider New Relic has raised $100 million in funding. Blackrock and Passport Capital led the round with participation from T. Rowe Price Associates and Wellington Management. According to the firm, the capital infusion will be used for product development and international expansion. Allen & Company advised New Relic on the transaction and helped arrange the financing.

Car pricing site TrueCar files for IPO

TrueCar said Friday that it has filed for an IPO. The number of shares that will be sold as well as its pricing terms have yet to be set. Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan Securities will serve as lead underwriters. TrueCar is a car pricing information site. Its backers include Vulcan Capital, Keating Capital, GSV Asset Management, Passport Capital, International Investment House and Allen & Company.

Apartment List raises $6mln

Apartment List has secured $6 million in additional funding, led by Glynn Capital and Passport Capital. The company will use the follow-on round of funding to continue its mission of digitizing the entire rental process from start to finish.

TrueCar Raises $200M in Debt, Equity

TrueCar, a company that provides car pricing data to consumers, has raised $200 million in debt and equity financing, Reuters reported Wednesday. The company is backed by GR Match, McCombs Family Partners, DealerTrack, Keating Capital, GSV Asset Management, Passport Capital, International Investment House and Allen & Company. Silicon Valley Bank arranged the debt portion of the funding for TrueCar, which is based in Santa Monica, Calif.

Craton Leads $60M Round for Bridgelux

Craton Equity Partners led a $60 million Series E round for Bridgelux Inc., a developer and manufacturer of LED lighting technologies. A laundry list of existing and strategic investors also participated in the round, including VantagePoint Capital Partners, DCM, El Dorado Ventures, Novus Energy Partners, Invus Group, VTS, Harris & Harris Group and Passport Capital. The company said the infusion will help it bolster research and development efforts. David Asarnow, a principal at Craton Equity, will join the Bridgelux board as an observer.

Terraliance Secures New Funding

Terraliance Technologies, an energy exploration company backed by Kleiner Perkins Caulfield & Byers, Goldman Sachs, DAG Ventures and Passport Capital, has raised another round of funding to scale its Natural Resource Mapping technology and address new exploration opportunities.
